I am happy to announce that Parthenon Publishing has expanded its relationship with TravelCenters of America LLC (TA).
We have published TA’s customer magazine, Road King, for the past six years. During that time, Road King has won dozens of editorial and design awards. In addition to creating the publication on a turnkey basis, we also market it to potential advertisers.
As part of our new agreement, we will market not just a magazine, but also a variety of media in and around more than 200 travel centers operating under the TA and Petro brands. We are marketing the media collectively as TravelCenter Media. We now offer location media, which includes signage in the locations, pump toppers on the fuel islands and space within the locations’ full service restaurant menus. We also now sell advertising opportunities on a wider array of digital media solutions. One of these properties is the Interstate SpeedZone website that we created. It is visited by every trucker logging in to the WiFi network at any TA or Petro location. It has only been live for a month, but it is receiving great traffic and producing results for advertisers.
It is always nice to sign a big contract. However, I am especially proud of this deal because one of our first and largest clients wants to do more with us — not just now, but for a long time to come. As I told my colleagues here at the office: this agreement is the result of the trust we have earned by doing great work and succeeding for our client over the long term.
Another reason I’m excited about this agreement is that it gives us a wide variety of media solutions to offer to advertisers. Before, we were selling pages in a magazine and a few other products. Now, we’re able to create comprehensive programs using multiple media to better help marketers achieve their objectives.
