Facebook for iPad: an Introduction

Have no fear iPad users; Facebook is here, finally. Over a year and an iPad generation later, Facebook has finally released its app for the iPad. iPhone users have had access to a mobile version of this for quite some time, while those who jumped into the iPad world have been patiently waiting. Well, the wait is over.

The recently released Facebook app for iPad will include several features that will no doubt make it worth the wait. Now you can use your fingertips to scroll through the news feed and just swipe the screen to go through picture albums. Whatever you’re doing, the app feels so much more natural than accessing it through the browser. This is how it should be.

While I know because of all of the updates I get, many folks will be concerned about their games. Don’t worry; your Farmville will be easy to locate along with all of your groups and apps in the new menu on the left-hand side. Also, while your looking through pictures or writing on a wall, all of your personal notifications, etc., will be at the top of every page so you can keep up with what’s going on without having to stop what you’re doing.

Facebook says the app also comes with a bunch of new features like chat or playing games and using apps in full-screen mode. You can also watch high-resolution videos online, record HD video and stream to Airplay devices. Big time.

Overall it seems like the new Facebook app for iPad is going to make a lot of people very happy. Have you downloaded it yet? If so, let us know what you think.
