Parthenon Wins Seven Communications Honors for Clients Firm Also Named LACP 'Silver Agency of the Year'

Parthenon Publishing has received seven honors in the 2004 Inspire Awards, an Employee Communications Competition from the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP). The publishing firm also received a Silver award as Agency of the Year.

"We are pleased that our work for HCA, Spheris and IASIS Healthcare has been recognized," said Bobby Stark, president of Parthenon. "It is also nice for our company to be honored for consistent performance with the 'Agency of the Year' award."

The publications and awards received are as follows:

  • HCA Today & Tomorrow, (two awards) Silver Award and Top 50 Employee Publications of 2004 (#30)
  • Spheris Fullcircle (two awards) Bronze Award and Top 50 Employee Publications of 2004 (#37)
  • IASIS Forum, (two awards) Bronze Award and Top 50 Employee Publications of 2004 (#50)
  • Spheris Fullcircle on Quality (monthly e-newsletter), Silver Award

Top 50awards were given to the highest scoring entries regardless of competition class.

For the Agency of the Year competition, the LACP singled out the top employee communications agencies of 2004 from a pool of more than 65 candidates. To qualify, an agency had to have at least two winning entries in the competition. The total scores from eligible agencies' entry materials were then averaged and the top agencies maintaining the highest media scores were then honored.

Parthenon submitted four entries, which brought seven awards, in addition to the Silver Agency of the Year award that resulted from the consistency of quality in their publications.

"The 2004 Inspire Awards drew an unprecedented number of entries representing a broad range of industries and organizational sizes," said Tyson Heyn, APR, LACP Principal. "Winners demonstrated a laser focus on communications grounded in creativity and passion, which ultimately helped employees understand and appreciate the relevance and importance of their companies' messages."

The LACP encourages excellence in the practice of communications for all organizations. A complete list of 2004 Inspire Awards honorees is at www.lacp.com/2004inspire.
