Parthenon's Road King Magazine Wins Top Industry Award
Wins Total of Eight Awards, More Than Any Other Publication
Road King magazine, published by Parthenon Publishing of Nashville, took top honors in the Truck Writers of North America Communication Awards given out at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Ky.
Road King was honored with the "Best of 2003" Award, the overall top prize of the competition, for a feature story on the cultural impact of the hit trucking song "Convoy." Road King also took home seven other awards for writing and design.
"Parthenon is pleased to have such a strong showing in the first annual TWNA awards," said Adele Rowan, Parthenon's executive vice president. "These wins are especially meaningful because the awards are judged by experts in the trucking industry."
The TWNA Communication Awards recognize excellence in trucking industry journalism in both the trade and mainstream press, as well as excellence in communication with the industry by public relations professionals.

Road King is a 225,000-circulation, bi-monthly magazine published for professional truck drivers. It is distributed and owned by TravelCenters of America, based in Cleveland, Ohio, with 150 locations nationwide.
