Parthenon Launches Monthly Publication for IdleAire

APEXParthenon Publishing has launched The Guide, a monthly publication for IdleAire Technologies Corporation.

Knoxville-based IdleAire provides in-cab services (heat/air, cable television, movies, telephone and Internet access) to truckers nationwide. The Parthenon-produced newsletter provides over-the-road drivers with cable programming news, a location directory and information about the IdleAire service offering.

"We're very pleased to be working with IdleAire to help communicate the benefits of its services to its growing customer base," says Parthenon Executive Vice President Adele Rowan. "We look forward to expanding the newsletter as the IdleAire network continues to grow."

The Guide launched with a circulation of 25,000, and is distributed through IdleAire locations at travel centers nationwide. Rowan says the circulation is expected to grow significantly as IdleAire opens new locations.

"The Guide has already become a very important sales tool for our company," said John Doty, communications director for IdleAire. "Parthenon Publishing's expertise and their innovative design suggestions help us capture the attention of our customers."

IdleAire currently has service available at 18 sites in Alabama, Arkansas, California, Georgia, New York, Tennessee and Texas. Construction is under way at 16 additional sites, and several existing sites are being expanded. In addition to the 110-volt shore power and heat/air, IdleAire's standard services include a Pentium-class computer with color touch screen, high-speed Internet, E-mail, satellite television, telephone jack and free local calls, and connections for keyboards or other computer accessories. IdleAire's Advanced Travel Center Electrification (ATE) system, winner of the 2003 R&D 100 Award and the 2004 EPA Clean Air Excellence Award, eliminates the need for long-term idling, thereby reducing fuel consumption and related pollutants, and allowing drivers to get better rest.

Nashville-based Parthenon Publishing Inc. provides custom publishing services-the creation of magazines, newsletters and digital media-to help clients foster stronger relationships with their customers and employees.
