Parthenon Publishing Wins National Design Award
Parthenon Publishing's Road King magazine has been honored with a first-place Gold Ozzie Award from Folio: magazine, which recognizes excellence in magazine design.
Road King, the bi-monthly magazine Parthenon produces for TravelCenters of America, received the Gold Award in the category of Best Media Kit, Custom Publishing.
"Michael Nott, Parthenon's creative director, came up with a great concept for Road King's media kit," says Adele Rowan, Road King publisher and Parthenon's executive vice president. "He and Lisa Waddle, our editorial director, crafted a kit that was both humorous and full of impact. We are pleased that their creativity has been recognized with a gold award from Folio:."
Now in their 17th year, the Folio: Show's Ozzie Awards are judged by an independent panel of industry experts, and are presented annually to consumer and business-to-business magazines for design excellence. This year, judges reviewed more than 1,600 entries across 14 categories. Entries came from a variety of countries including Australia, Canada, China, Finland, Germany and South Africa.
Road King is a 225,000-circulation magazine published for professional truck drivers. It is distributed every other month through TravelCenters of America's 150 locations nationwide.
Parthenon Publishing Inc. provides custom publishing services-the creation of magazines, newsletters and digital media-to foster stronger relationships between corporations and their customers.
