Parthenon Publishing's Road King Magazine Receives Industry Awards

Road King magazine, published by Parthenon Publishing, was recognized at the 2004 International Automotive Media Awards (IAMAs) with three medals.

"We are pleased that Road King's writing and design were recognized by IAMA, given the prestigious competition," says Lisa Waddle, Road King's managing editor. "We are especially proud to have taken a bronze in the Best Single Issue category, which recognizes overall excellence."

Produced by Parthenon Publishing for TravelCenters of America, The bi-monthly Road King was honored with three awards in the annual competition's magazine division: Bronze Medal for Best Single Magazine Issue with a circulation of over 100,000, for the July-August 2004 issue; Silver Medal in the Feature article category for "Size Matters," a truck review by Paul Hartley; and Silver Medal in the Entertainment Feature category for "Convoy Rides Again" by Chuck Miller.

The IAMAs recognize and encourage excellence in all forms of automotive media. The awards banquet was hosted by the Madison Avenue Sports Car Driving Society and was held November 16, 2004 at Sardi's, New York.

Judging of the IAMAs is done by peers. Qualifying entries for the 2004 IAMAs were published from August 1, 2003 to July 31, 2004. Complete results of the IAMA competition are at www.aztexcorp.com.
