Parthenon Publishing Wins Road King Magazine
NASHVILLE Parthenon Publishing has been chosen to be the new publisher of Road King magazine, says Bobby Stark, president of Parthenon.
Road King is a bi-monthly, 250,000-circulation magazine owned by TravelCenters of America, the nation's largest network of full service travel centers. The current publisher is Hammock Publishing Inc. Parthenon will take over the publication beginning with the March/April 2003 issue.
"This is a big win for us," Stark said. "TravelCenters of America is a large and growing company. Road King is the cornerstone of a very successful customer loyalty program. We're pleased they are entrusting it to our company.
"We will essentially be re-launching the magazine next year with new editorial, design and marketing strategies," Stark continued. "Our creative approach to every aspect of the magazine won over the client."
Road King, which is published for professional truck drivers, is distributed every other month through TravelCenters of America's 151 locations nationwide. The magazine has been published for 40 years.
