Parthenon's Road King Magazine Wins Five Industry Awards

Road King magazine, published by Parthenon Publishing of Nashville, Tenn., won five awards in the Truck Writers of North America Communication Awards given out at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Ky.

Road King was honored with the "Best of 2003" Award, the overall top prize of the competition, for a feature story on the cultural impact of the hit trucking song "Convoy." Road King also took home seven other awards for writing and design.

"We're pleased to have a strong showing in the TWNA awards," said Adele Rowan, Parthenon's executive vice president. "These awards are especially meaningful because they are judged by our peers in the trucking industry."

The TWNA Communication Awards recognize excellence in trucking industry journalism in both the trade and mainstream press, as well as excellence in communication with the industry by public relations professionals.
