
Vanguard Health Systems manages 28 hospitals and healthcare-delivery networks across the United States, including Abrazo Health Care, a healthcare system made up of 10 hospitals and clinics in Phoenix, Arizona. Parthenon took over management of the organization’s social media efforts in 2013, a process that included creating and measuring engaging content for Facebook, Google+ and Twitter.
Prior to Parthenon’s involvement, Abrazo’s social content was underperforming, despite a healthy budget allocation. After Parthenon implemented a number of social media best practices, Abrazo saw significant increases in key metrics on all its platforms and a 587 percent increase in traffic to the hospital website over the first 60 days under Parthenon’s approach – all on a reduced budget.
From December 2012 to February 2013, Abrazo’s Facebook page saw a 285 percent rise in the number of likes for content. The total number of continues to hold strong, and social media as a driver of traffic to the Abrazo website is up 260 percent over 2012.
