Q&A
Describe your office.
I work remotely, and my wife and I just bought a 100-year-old house. My office is in the third-floor loft and has a massive desk that must have been built up here, as there is no way you could bring it up the narrow staircase. There are two large skylights, which let in a ton of natural light. It’s a great space.
What talent would you most like to have?
I wish I was handier and could build things. I currently am not handy and do not build things.
What is the most spontaneous thing you have ever done?
Right after I graduated college I moved to San Diego without first lining up a job. It made for an interesting month.
If you could have any job in the world, what would it be?
Tie between college football commentator and beer taster at a craft brewery.
Which words or phrases do you most overuse?
I’ve caught myself using the phrase “in theory” quite a bit lately. For example, “Well, Bob, in theory that is correct.” I don’t know where it’s coming from. I should probably stop it.

Matt helps clients engage with professional truck drivers through print, online and location-based media. He is not a practitioner of the “hard sell.” Rather, he focuses on learning about his clients goals, then coming up with a media strategy to achieve them. His efforts generate about $2 million annually in advertising revenue. He’s also our go-to guy when we need a golfer.
