Peter Clifton

In October 2001, Peter Clifton joined Ingram as President and CEO of Ingram Periodicals Inc., the newsstand magazine distributor owned by Ingram Book Group. In September 2002 he was named President of Ingram International Inc., the book export distributor of Ingram Book Group as well as Senior Vice President of Ingram Book Group.
In October 2003, Peter was named President of Ingram Library Services Inc. and in September 2004 he was additionally named President and CEO of Tennessee Book Company. He is a publishing and technology executive with extensive experience in book, software, magazine, multimedia, e-commerce and information publishing as well as sales and distribution.
Prior to joining Ingram, Peter was the founding CEO of PubEasy Inc. Clifton was responsible for growing and managing the PubEasy Internet service worldwide. RR Bowker LLC purchased PubEasy Inc. Earlier in his career, Peter served 11 years at John Wiley & Sons Inc. as Director of Publicity and Director of New Media Development, Director of Audio publishing and Marketing Manager of Wiley's Professional Software publishing division.
Peter has also served as Vice President, Director of New Media in the Children's division of HarperCollins Publishers, where he was responsible for the development of children's multimedia games. And he was also Vice President, Director of Business Development & Licensing for SEGASoft Inc. a subsidiary of SEGA of America.
Peter graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a bachelor of fine arts degree.
