Welcome to Parthenon: Heather Newman
Heather has more than 10 years experience as a medical/healthcare writer. Five of those years were spent at Vanderbilt, where she wrote for, developed and managed multiple medical magazines. She served as editor-in-chief of Vanderbilt Nurse.
Heather also developed and served as editor-in-chief of Momentum, the publication of Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center. She also wrote for the medical center’s weekly, internal publications. In all these positions, she interviewed patients and medical personnel and created compelling and informational stories.
Most recently, Heather served as a communications specialist working for the Commissioner of Health. In this job, she wrote speeches and papers, explaining a variety of health issues to very different audiences.
Heather will write for a number of Parthenon’s publications. Welcome Heather!!
