Yes, I am a proud word nerd.
And I just found a ridiculously fun feature from the Merriam-Webster dictionary folks. Top Ten Words lists cover a slew of fun subjects, including summer words, words of the ’80s and Top Ten Words from the Bible. My current favorite: Top Ten New Words for Old Things. Think snail mail and cloth diaper. The new descriptors show how language changes with the times.

I found it interesting how many of the list were communications-related (Broadcast T.V./T.V., Silent Movie/Movie, Snail Mail/Mail, etc.).
