5 to Follow: Local Shopping

Recently hailed as “Nowville” by none other than GQ, Nashville is no stranger to up-and-coming vintage shops, record stores and local designers. With summer temperatures hanging in at a steady 100 degrees, we Nashvillians are clamoring for fun ways to beat the heat, and local stores are welcoming customers and encouraging spending.
The more innovative amongst the bunch have gone one step farther than traditional advertising to take their wares to the masses. Now, as you check out your third cousin’s vacation pictures that she posted 14 minutes ago on Facebook, you may also notice some fabulous strappy sandals just down your newsfeed. By infiltrating social media with all of the great items you can buy, these savvy Nashville retailers are making a big impact on local culture and their sales:
  • imogene + willie. From local celebrities to hipsters to music industry groupies, imogene + willie’s custom jeans have made a splash into all corners of Nashville culture. We love following them on Facebook for updates on their styles, announcements of summer music events and general goings-on in 12th South.

Through their meticulous online updates that showcase all of their stock, nadeau capitalizes off of social media and shows Nashvillians exactly what they should be stopping in to buy.
