Writer

“I consider myself the vehicle for a story to be shared. A good writer will get out of the way and let the story tell itself.”

Whether writing about complex medical issues or the latest financial trends, every story should grab the reader like a good book and make you want to know more. Heather works to make every topic she tackles relatable in a way that makes you feel like you're talking to your best friend. She draws on her extensive writing experience in her work with Parthenon. Most recently, she served as a communications specialist for the Tennessee Commissioner of Health, writing speeches and presentations covering a variety of health issues.

Heather has more than 10 years experience writing about healthcare. Before her job with the State of Tennessee, she spent several years writing at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she developed and managed multiple magazines and worked as a Public Relations Specialist. She started her career reporting and writing for television news, and went on to work for a television production company, where she interviewed top medical experts for health news stories broadcast nationwide. Heather earned a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.
