Parthenon Wins Magazine Awards
Parthenon Publishing’s editorial and graphic design work on two magazines was recognized at the 2007 Magnum Opus awards. Parthenon received four awards and earned four honorable mentions. The Magnum Opus awards are presented by Publications Management magazine, in conjunction with the Missouri School of Journalism.
One magazine, the employee publication for UnumProvident, received four awards, including Grand Award as Internal Magazine; a Silver Award for Best Overall Editorial; a Silver Award for Best Overall Design (4-color) and a Bronze Award for Best Feature Article (“Today’s U.K."). It also won an Honorable Mention as Best All Around Employee Publication.
The August issue of Publications Management, the newsletter behind the awards, has this to say about the magazine: "More than just a news vehicle, One communicates key information -- corporate values and strategic goals, yes, but also explanations of insurance products and why the company sells them, or what the importance of a particular form is for the company's implementation service. It does all this with graphics that draw the reader in and support the message."
Road King, a magazine for TravelCenters of America customers, earned three Honorable Mentions: Best Regularly Featured Department (“Hard Work, Big Dreams”), Best Cover, and Best Use of Black and White Photography.
Parthenon Publishing, based in Nashville, Tenn., creates integrated custom print, web and email products. Its clients include TravelCenters of America, HCA, Unum and IASIS health care.
