In 2006, HCA's consumer loyalty program, h2u, launched h2u@work, a workplace wellness program available for companies located near an HCA facility.
Companies can distribute the h2u@work newsletter to employees and implement other h2u@work wellness programs as part of a unique partnership with HCA's h2u program. The publication offers nationally provided content and pages available for customization by the local HCA hospital and participating business.
In a study of custom publication recipients, 74 percent indicated they have taken at least one action in the last 12 months as a result of reading or looking through the publications. This includes fully 23 percent who made a purchase from/donation to the sponsoring organization and 18 percent who recommended the sponsoring organization to others.
