As a newlywed, I have the great pleasure of stuffing the Christmas tree and stockings at our new home. It may seem easy, but it’s hard to find gifts for a husband that buys what he wants, when he wants, and tells everyone: “I don’t need anything for Christmas.”
My main go-to guide for the holidays are the savvy gift guides for men. My husband is a huge techie, which means I have to make sure any gifts I get him this year are up to par.
While he’s reading up on the latest gossip about WikiLeaks and Anonymous, I’m using my secret shopping advice sites from the great men’s publications: Esquire, GQ, Wired and even a little advice from websites such as Gizmodo.com and Amazon to find some unique gift ideas.
The sites offer more options and ideas for every guy on your list, especially the techies (not to be confused with Trekkies). Instead of the usual razor and some outfits that he’ll wear just because it adds clothing to his closet, you can find gifts that might actually make him giddy when he peels away the wrapping paper. Think gadget accessories for iPads, docking stations, one-of-a-kind cuff links and even some items that make life a little easier.
Thanks to these great sites with innovative ideas for the perfect gift, well, I don’t have to brave the overcrowded malls and shopping centers in desperate need of the most popular gift of the season.
What was the perfect gift for my guy? Well, that secret I can’t divulge, just yet.
